Long Shot: web-based file transfer script/software?

Hi,

I'm looking for server-side software (preferably with an administrative back-end) that will allow clients to upload/download files from their own secure directory on our server. So far we've been using a script we found and modified, but I was wondering if there's professional software out there that does this.

Essentially we're looking to create online file transfer and temporary storage for our various clients. Straight FTP isn't really an option because most don't have FTP clients and it's tacky. Same with simple password-protected directories. It needs to have a UI.

Any ideas? Perhaps I'm not googling the right terms cause I can't find anything.

TIA!

Yea I think that is overkill. Actually GlobalScape's EFT Server package is awesome (http://www.globalscape.com/eft/) but insanely expensive and also a bit overkill (we don't really need certificates and things like that). However, the browser UI they show in their flash demo is PERFECT for what we'd need.

EDIT: it's almost like we're looking for a web-based FTP client that's dumbed down.
