As of late I've been carving out a little niche of buying/selling games on the side. Nothing too extravagant, an extra 1-200 of eBay profit. Was thinking about expanding just a bit to swap meet sales.

Anybody have a good experience at swap meets? Negative experiences? Things to watch out for? Etc...

If I can make an extra few hundred a month it would be a worthwhile endevour.

It's like a great big garage sale. If you don't mind all that goes along with that, it's not too bad.

used games are pretty cheap. I think the market I'm going for with this is the same as the kind who would buy older games anyway.

Not to mention I would setup my laptop with verizon broadband access, and do ebay sales AND nef ATOT at the same time haha.

That sounds like a plan then. :D

If you don't mind people haggeling with you and maybe offering some trades then I say go for it. If you start to lose money or becomes too much then call it quits, you always have the option not to go. Like one member said, its like a big garage sale. Good luck!

If you're going to be neffing while doing it, bring a friend along to prevent people with sticky fingers from ruining it.

If you have THAT many games, try opening a permanent booth in a flea market.

I thought you said your neighbor gave them to you! Is it for the church at least? God loves money.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I tried this swap meet thing. I had to sell a bunch of merchandise, too late to register for a space, ended up selling them in the parking lot of the swap meet.

It was fun, it was profitable, and it was risky... wouldn't do it again and don't recommend it, but...
