Long-lost "Nocturnal Farmer" drops by to say Hi!

As much as I wish this could be a "Crop Report ©" , I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone!

Hope all is well in the DC (especially SETI) universe!

For those wondering, after 20 years, I'm no longer working at the same place I was before, as my wife's promotion took us from Indianapolis to sunny Las Vegas (pity me ). Wish I were still there...before I left, I was project manager for a new hardware rollout that would have potentially crunched at least 5000+ WU/day :Q (had I had the permission, that is ).

I miss the old days and wish everyone well. Who knows...maybe one day I'll resurface?!

Welcome back! I'm in a similar situation. I haven't posted for a long while here. I just lurk around every now and then. I quit my job to focus on finishing my degree so I'm down to my one cruncher. Pretty sad state of affairs.

Great to see both of you and what makes you think we care how many work units you crunch or don't crunch? Don't matter if it's 1 or a 1000 you're stilll a teammate and we would love to see both of you around here more. After all there's always room for another neffer

You all have no idea how nice it was to hear from all of you. It was like going back in time to the "good ole' days."

Now that you've guilted me...I've installed the SETI client and am d/ling plenty of WU's to last me for a while.

Sorry I haven't been a contributor for over a year...it's kind of like a millionaire who loses his fortune...he's embarassed to show up with his friends when he's broke and making minimum wage. I know that every WU counts, but going from 300+/day to just a few is hard to take.

However, I'll swallow my pride and know that every little bit helps the effort!

And I didn't know that Teriba was gone as well...get your butt (CPU) in gear and start crunching! If the Nocturnal Farmer can do it, so can you!
