There were 3 people working (1 supervisor, 2 workers). a long line formed. Plus the food guy was falling behind on the food orders.
The supervisor opened a register and started taking orders. When the line started dying down, he went to the back and helped preparing the food.
But what if the line didnt die down? what if it was freak nite and there was an unexpected steady stream of customers? with 2 people taking orders, the lone guy in the back will be WAAAAY behind.
Why not help the food guy 1st so he gets caught up w/the food orders, then open up a register?
Having the customer wait for food is better than having the customer wait for ordering?
Sure, from the restuarant point of view, it's better because you have their $. if they wait longer on line, they may walk out.
But I would be pissed off if i wait 1 min to order, but had to wait 10 min for food. I wouldnt be that pissed off if i waited 10 min to order, and get my food within 1min.
So it's better to get a customer's $ now, and risk getting a pissed off customer who might not return???
