I was not sure exactly which section to post this in but I thought I would start off with operating systems.
Here at work, I am having a RANDOM problem (only occurs sometimes - not always, most of the times the diagonal opens almost instantaneously) with there being a long (15 to 60 second) lag in the opening of the properties diagonal when I right hand click on a file.
The files that I am generally trying to see the properties on are located on our LAN server.
One of our IT guys seems to think that this lag is not related to the server but instead is perhaps being caused by something on my LOCAL machine/workstation. He has not had time to do any investigating on the issue yet.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this lag and/or how to investigate it.
