OK, I am surfing the web and all of a sudden as a WMV was playing in FF 2 beta 2 My mobo hits a 15sec long Beeb and then it stooped then my computer was extramly slow I could nto move the mouse then 2 sec I can then I cant, as soon as I end tasked FF it worked again, could this be a mobo issue?? Something, I and not 100% sure but I think its a bit of software problem.

If there was a beep coming from the computer, not your speakers, it's a hardware problem. Most likely motherboard.

Reading that makes my brain hurt.
If the beep was coming from your motherboard I'd make sure your cpu fan isn't dying.

Whoever decided that a 15 second long is a good error message should really be fired.

Have you experienced and problems other than the one time?

Do you have your mobo manual?
It should tell you what that beep means....

I do have the manule and it was ruffly 15 sec long I never had this, other times I had it freeze up on me for a brief second then then beep 1 short beep when it comes back.

In our office we have Uninterrutable Power Supplies that emit a beeeep when the voltage dips or their is some other power disturbance. Do you have such a system?
Could the noise be a fan bearing about to freeze up? If the CPU fan is failing, it can cause the CPU to overheat and slow down. You could also experience this if the Video Card fan is going bad.
