Long battery life HDD music player

My brother asked for a Sony NW-HD5 music player for Christmas. It looks like the player has been discontinued, so I'm leery about buying it.

The best I can tell, he has 4 major requirements

1) Not an iPod
2) 20 GB capacity (or better)
3) same size (or preferably smaller) then an iPod
4) long battery life (The Sony claims 40 hours, definetly has to more then an iPod's 14 hours)

Things like wireless, video playback, and most other "features" aren't really important, especially if they take away from battery life.

Anyone have any suggestions for current generation that meet those requirements?
