Want to wall hang a 46" LCD but even searching for "extra long" wall mounts the most distance I get from the wall is 33 inches. Does anyone make anything longer or am I stuck at this distance?

3ft is already quite a distance to be suspending a tv. At that rate, why not just go with a ceiling mount?

where is this going to be placed? seems like that is very odd. and 33" for a wall mount is "extra long" in my book considering most people want them to be less than 1" from the wall.

I use a long arm mount in my home gym. It's an odd shape (think of an L) where there's two walls that make outside facing corner that you have to walk around. I've got a TV mounted on one side of the corner that faces a weight/workout area. The arm is long enough to swing around the corner and face some cardio equipment I have on the other side.

As for the question, I don't think you will be able to find one easily. That's a lot of weight bearing down at a very bad angle once you extend out that far. As others have said, you are probably better off going with a ceiling hung one or some sort of custom setup.

Purpose is a bedroom for someone with very bad vision. They want the TV to go flat against the wall when not in use, but to be able to pull it out towards them for use.
