I am spending the night in Hammersmith and am looking for something to do. I'd be happy with a recommendation for a pub with decent food, but I'd welcome something more entertaining...

Go into Shepherds Bush. Just down the road. (also, and I hate that I know this, it is the reason behind the name of the band, 'Bush'. Not becuase they are a bunch of pu..) Good nightlife.

Take the tube somewhere else?

I've stayed at the Novotel Hammersmith a few times while in London (good price and service)... never actually did many activities in the Hammersmith area (I didn't know there were activities in the area).

It's not really a nightlife destination beyond the Apollo Theater. I wonder if white people get boo'd off the stage there too...

Want to have an ATOT meet then?

Oh sure, what are you doing in Switzerland, washing your hair?

If you're going to look at all of West London.... What do you want to do? Just figure out what you'd do in New York City - it's the exact same cost (thanks to the weak dollar) in pounds as it would be in dollars - so something that costs $20 in NYC would cost 20 (I can't remember how to do the L symbol) pounds in London, basically $40. But the tube is much cleaner than the NY Metro, and fewer beggars ;)

Clubs, shows, etc. are all normal fare in the area for tourists - so you have to be more specific.

It's just me and I am way jet lagged, so nothing too crazy... I'll settle for a decent pub that'll have a good crowd watching the EPL matches (Charlton v. Blackburn & Tottenham vs. Middlesborough)
