It seems I'll be moving to London from Windsor and I was wondering what it's like to live there. It kind of sucks because I've still got one year of highschool, meaning I have to start fresh in a new place. So, what are the schools like? I hear London's a pretty clean place and aparently there are a lot of people who live there that I regularly talk to online.

Who else lives there?

i'm reminded of an old episode of "All in the Family".
Archie gets fired from his job because he sends a shipment to London, England instead of London, Canada.

Comedy gold i tell ya!
Me returns to work now.

I live in london! It's a party town with UWO right there, so you can pick up drunk college girls.

It seems like it now, but it really doesn't. I moved around a lot as a kid and as an adult - Toronto - Montreal - Hong Kong - Toronto - Waterloo - Ottawa - Kentucky - Virginia - San Francisco - Baltimore.

In has prepared me to meet new people and make new friends quite easily. My brother lived in London for 4 years (while going to Western) and I visited frequently. Great city.

I'm sure in 99% of the ways your life will be the same, not including the fact you know nobody coming out. The change should be fairly mild.

hey Windsor's not all that bad... mind you, I only work there but I lived in Windsor for the better part of 10 years before I moved back to the county.

I hate london. hate hate hate. My boyfriend used to live there and my best friend still lives there. People from london really love it but I think it is a big hole in the ground. Its dirty (though not as dirty as windsor) and unlike popular belief it IS NOT "a smaller friendly version of toronto".

It takes half an hour to drive anywhere in london, even down the street. it has the poorest city planning I have ever seen and I live in kitchener-waterloo!

The bars are no fun, everyone has a huge attitude because they go to western... at least there are the hot western girls but oh wait, they are rich and stuck up and dumb as bricks. The guys.. ugh.

There is never any parking downtown except at the galleria mall and you have to pay.. (or you can go to the library and get it validated) but the downtown is so big that its a really far walk from most of the places.

east.of.adelaide. (enough said)

I don't know about the transit system but I hear that it is ok... it just takes forever to get anywhere because its london.

/end "i hate london almost as much as i hate brantford" rant.

I've heard of people bitching about the snobby elitist attitude types that attend Western. Never thought I'd read about it on ATOT though.

Let's hear your Brantford rant! I play in a hockey tourney there every year and it seems like a so-so town to me!! Then again, I guess anywhere is when you're just visiting and drinking for the weekend! ;)

London owns :)

Yes, Western people can be snotty, but I mean, everyone is also very friendly, could be you just came with a brick on your shoulder.

Look up Jacks on Richmond, new bar, lotsa fun there, also Phoenix is good for clubbing/dancing/picking girls up. Come with an open mind and you'll love it.do choose where u live carefully though, as with every town/city, there are some slums.

very true. for instance Windsor has multiple slummy areas (east side, west side, some of downtown LOL). but it *is* on Ontario city and it is fairly clean & multi-cultural, so it can't be all that bad. I know one thing... London bars = teh scenery... rawr

Sounds exciting. ^_^

How often are there decent concerts there? Like, Metal and whatnot? I remember hearing somewhere that they have a lot of concerts, but I could be wrong.

I personally have seen the Skid Row/Vince Neil/Poison Tour and the Motely Crue Tour.

They both rocked big time.
