only for those of us that have rats as pets. hard to know that they can be even more hilarious than cats if you don't see them every day.

Yeah... Rats just don't seem to have much of a "personality". They spend every waking moment trying to escape out of their cage, and that's about it.

Oh, see there's the problem. Once you let them out of the cage they have the personalities of little dogs. Mine have free range in my room and they truly are smart, lovable animals. Again, you wouldn't believe it until you've seen it.

You don't own rats do you? Mine spent their playtime last night trying to groom my 5 day beard. I'm usually clean shaven, so it was new to them.

Are rats potty trainable? I remember the pet mouse I had as a kid would walk around and drop poop wherever he was without even stopping. It seemed like he had no control at all.

Generally, yes, though it varies by the rat. Mine don't poo outside their cage at all any more, then did when I first got them out of fear. While inside their cage, the confine most of their raisins to a single corner, though there are usually some raisins scattered about the first floor. The bedding on the first floor is all the same. I've been meaning to get a little tray with some YN to get them better trained, but it hasn't been high on my list of priorities.

I love a dogs personality, but they don't show it well in photos, more of a thing that has to be witnessed or caught on video.

I agree, it just doesn't work.
It's not about liking rats either. My GF hates cats and loves LOLCATS.
It also just seems like a rehash of what's been done already.
Show me a funny pic of a rat with an "invisible *something-or-other*" caption that's funny and you might change my mind!

He lives with rats and doesn't shave. Are you suggesting something about his life?
