That's one of the reasons I hate mobile. This crap should be a trivial change. You shouldn't have to fear updates dicking up your system. Colors are minor from a coding perspective, but it's a dominant part of the experience. Everything mobile is like this. Everything's presented on take it or leave it terms, and a simple update can take it all away.

I remember when I used to make themes for my HTC desire, it was a pain in the arse TBH and it usually broke something.
I suppose a proper theme 'engine' would fix that. I'd just be happy to have a light and a dark theme.
