Looks like the game isn't that great but is anyone surprised?

Seems like one of those games that would have been better off as a PSN/XBLA title.
It seems to have
okay scores.
I watched this feedback video on IGN of the reviewer responding to comments from his review. I've never played the game, but when I saw that the review had over 1000 comments, I thought I'd give the video a look. It looks like the point about how the game could be overly repetitive seems valid, and the videos they showed reminded me of some weird Scott Pilgrim-ish world.
Although, the one thing that got to me is that the guy seemed to dislike the misogynistic tone in the game. Now, it's not like I support such things, and I would agree that constantly defaming the main character using harsh words like "slut" or "whore" would get a bit old. However, his gripe seemed to be that the character never seemed affected by the verbal barrages.
I think reviewers sometimes forget that they're watching a movie or playing a video game. I got the same vibe way back when I read Roger Ebert's review on Kick-Ass, because he sat there complaining about a young girl killing people and swearing throughout his review.
