Well this is getting crazy. Phone is has gone into a battery death spiral after installing Lollipop. Either it's coicedence that the battery went bad at the same time. This is just after a factory reset as well.

Not sure as only the Android System and kernel are reporting the majority of application use by percent.

When I look in the SystemPanel app, it says that the System UI service is the majority of the country time. That's the one with the lollipop icon.

I had a problem for a couple days where my phone was staying awake almost 100% of the time, all I did to fix it was powering off my phone and turning it back on (not just resetting but powering it off). Not sure what happened but after that it's been totally fine and the battery life has been awesome like it was in the past.

OK, so I use my VZW branded Note 4 with my tmobile sim and wasnt getting the update. This morning I popped in a VZW sim and bam, Lollipop is now downloading. Should report back in 20 mins or so. Hope my TMO sim will still work in it.

Bell Note 4 currently downloading a 1 GB update. Assuming it is Lollipop. Finally.

I'm running 5.0 on my Verizon S5. I really like the update on this phone. Battery life is great, I have no lag issues what so ever and the phone definitely feels faster.

Wow, the update too 10 minutes to download, 10 minutes to install and 4 hours to optimize.

That's somewhat normal going from 4.4 to 5 although 4 hours seems a bit exaggerated. The phone has to recompile every installed app to use the new ART runtime in lollipop so if you have a lot of apps installed it will take longer.

No, around 4 hours to stabilize. I have nearly 300 apps installed, many on my 128gb SD card. Those apps would show up for 4 hours. I let the phone be as it was getting hot with the screen on. Its pretty stable now. Loving the app notification controls.

Hadn't noticed the update was available for Verizon until just now while reading this thread. I picked up my phone and sure enough it was showing the update.

I have about 120 apps so I hope the optimization is more streamlined.

I didn't get my update Ota I did it thru kies

There appears to be some issues with some apps not updating or completing the update -- including Google apps.

Lollipop feels snappier than 4.4.4 kitkat on an S4. It looked like google play services hitched during updating but after the phone optimized the apps for ART the version number matched the latest I found online.

Scrolling in apps is noticeably smoother and snappier than it was before lollipop. there are a couple that will still hitch a bit with rapid scrolling but that is less noticeable to my eyes than it was before. Most of them I barely notice it if at all.

I ran down th battery to phone shutdown once after installation to calibrate the OS battery measurement. Battery life seems to be as good as it was before.

Only thing I don't like is the bright menus on an AMOLED screen. However, I have found a widget that allows turning connections on and off without going into the settings or notifications. I can't really speak to Touchwiz since I've been using APEX launcher with dark icons and wall papers for quite a while now.

My Note 4 is noticeably move sluggish and battery life has plummeted. Left the house at 8:15am at 100%, listened to music and was reading with kindle app, got to work 8:55am and battery was at 64%. Thats horrible. May have to factory reset which stinks as I have so much crap on there.

I'm surprised the S4 got the update this quick. Gives me hope that my S5 will get at least one more update before they give up on it.

S5 is only about a year old, it should get updates until at least another year.

AT&T has already pushed out update to 5.0 for GS5 yesterday. My S5 is running Lollipop now.
