lol that's awesome. Japanese TV actually looks kind of fun. I could totally watch that even if I have no clue what they're saying. lol
 
He probably heard screams and saw the people running and thought it was real.... It happened fast enough that the fight or flight kicked in and he took the wussy way out.
 
Fake. There's a longer clip with a chick being chased in the same "prank". In the first scene she's wearing tall platform yellow shoes and when she's being chased she's in flats.
 
Looks staged. I can understand the sheer difficulty of standing and running initially when gripped by fear. Yet he managed to look back so many times after that. Most people would just dash for their life at full speed without looking back. I know I would.

There are some good clips on youtube of a guy doing just that. Different dino costume, but quite similar and the reactions are real. Just search "dinosaur prank".
