lol wtf? Alright, this has been going on for a while... Slap the computer, it works.

So, sometimes my audio goes all funky. It's like I lose all the bass or something... It just loses all kinds of frequencies and shit. I was playing Just Cause 2 and going, "Wtf, game is broken. FUCK! I can't hear any of the voices and shit sounds funky as hell!" then I moved the headphones cord and it got better... >_> (Bad connections all over I guess?) But, then other times... I'll play music and it has similarity to that experience. It'll be losing something. I noticed that when I had my feet on my computer tower pushing it on the side... I would basically lose some or all of the audio... (I used it as my ottoman, I suppose) Well, when I had it pushed to a slight lean because my feet were on it and I wanted a certain angle... Audio goes poof until I put it back into a perfectly upstanding angle. Wtf? Then other times my audio gets all funky, so I shake the computer tower and yay it comes back... Sometimes I slightly tug on a random cord on the ground near my feet and *poof* audio is gone... wtf!?!!!?!? SHIT IS CRAZY!

What the hell is doing this? IDEAS?! :awe:

I'm annoyed... because I am thinking I am losing audio quality almost 24/7 somewhere along the lines.... Crappy iPod headphones are starting to seem like they have more bass than my sennheiser HD555s. 🙁

Are you using the same headphones all the time? Or does this happen in all types of sound reproduction devices? If youve only used one, try another.

Also, does your pc have another audio port (some have 2, one rear, one front)? Maybe try it there? maybe the one you are using has a short.

Reseat the audio card if it is in fact a card? If its integrated, scratch this possibility.

I think it was the cables or something. I had to use an extender so that way it wouldn't be so short, but I've got rid of that and it doesn't happen. Idk, it's an off-and-on kind of thing. It's all very strange... Audio card is perfectly set. The headphones still work decently. It's just the connectors I think. Idk. Maybe I'll buy a new connection for the headphones or something, or just get a new pair or... get speakers... whenever I get money... >_<

Shit's crazy. I think it was the extending cable thing.

Audio jacks can get loose over time - that's probably what was happening with the jack in the extender.

Test the jack with a pair of headphones or something to confirm that the problem isn't with your speakers. If the problem is with the jack, buy a new sound card.

Not that difficult to troubleshoot..

Your connection is slowly going bad, happens often on portable CD/MP3 players. Usually your computer should let you choose between three connections as the output. Switch the jack your plugged into, use the software that comes with your audio drivers to switch which jack is the output and your problem is solved.

You kicking your computer or using it as an ottoman has nothing to do with the audio,
that's just negligence that will probably have you seeing more problems down the road.

Being a dick is a sure way to get yourself accepted into ATOT.

Nah, I've done it for years now. No problems. :awe: My feet love it. It's a lot better than doing criss-cross native american style stuff. 🙂

And, I think it was just the extension cable thing I got from monoprice. It was a Female to male extender thingy that was like 25ft long. Also the little connection on my headphones is already bent a little. It's all kinda screwed up. 😛 I can tell you now: it's not from me foot lovin' my computer.

Does it look like I care about being accepted? I just try to help people when I can, and when the solution is painfully obvious, I tend to be an asshole. Don't like it? I don't give a flying fuck.
