seriously, i need to stop using this computer so much

i don't even need it really. i just need to check my email once daily and that's all i need

it's the summer, and my time is spent between playing two computer games (RTCW:Enemy territory and another online game)and reading message boards

i mean, there's not much else to do... i finished my summer school, i only worked on sundays but not anymore... so i have all this free time and most of it is spent on a pc

would it help if i sold my desktop and bought a laptop instead? with a laptop, i wont be able to play games on there and it seems like i wont use it as much

you need "the patch", an adhesive narcotic which slowly releases the internet into your bloodstream a little at a time. soon you will be able to wean yourself off entirely.

Get a girlfriend. 🙂

Mine made me want to use my computer more 🙁😉

Ouch, mine sorta makes me feel guilty for using it. I love spending time with her so it's not a huge deal.. but now I'm stuck using my computer from 12-5 AM if she leaves early, or randomly throughout the day if we go out or she stays to a normal time.

Get another job, or volunteer someplace, or get a hobby, or read.

yeah, volunteering is a good idea,,, i need to build my resume anyways...

im gonna wait a week and volunteer someplace.. and try to find a job at the same time

but until next week, im gonna sit here and do anything everyday 🙂

Cancel your ISP or just unplug it. The most productive time I've seen in years was when my ISP was down. Was unreal....

But seriously, stay busy, get a job (another one), read the newest Harry Potter thang, or whatevah

I have the same problem as you, if figure I'm going to start reading more. I really want to actually finish LOTR. At my rate, that will take up my entire summer 🙂

Other than that, I don't think I'll be hanging out with my friends much anymore. They're either leaving to go to University, or I am. Meh.

I find I've been on the computer a lot less recently. I've been packing (moving tomorrow - won't even have an ISP till the 30th as it turns out), spending lots of time with my girlfriend (thankfully I'm only moving an hour and a half away so I'll still see her lots), spending lots of time with other friends, going outside more (I played in a frisbee tournament yesterday - we were in the finals and then someone on the other team broke his nose badly so we called the game at 2-2), etc.

I even have a list of books that I'm going to read! :Q

There a lots of things to do and all are more fun than sitting on the computer, messing around on forums, and dicking around with games.

Work out. Think if you had started working out only a year ago and spent that time you spent on your puter during that time in the gym instead.

Hint: use the PC in the evening, an hour before you go to bed. Read: Use for one hour only.

1) Take a motorcycle class.
2) Take up rock climbing.
3) Join a sailing or dragonboat club in your area, if applicable.
4) Offer to help paint somebody's house.
5) Buy a pair of rollerblades.
6) Volunteer to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity or some other organization.
