LOL, this coming from a friend who's taking a computer course

Can the user replace those rollers, like on the Si series?

Yup, they're very easy to replace.

The feed roller ordinarily overrides the separation roller, resulting in both rollers turning to feed paper out of the tray.

In the event that a multi-feed occurs, the friction between the two rollers drops suddenly. The resulting force is less than the driving force applied by the torque limiter, which causes the separation roller to instantly change directions to feed excess sheets back into the tray. When only one sheet is between the feed and separation rollers, the separation roller changes directions yet again - It's back at the mercy of the feed roller. This happens many times during the course of a print job, the result is a very fast, very reliable paper system. Multifeeds are extremely rare, far surpassing the transfer pad found in gravity fed printers.

My point is that everyone has things they know about... I know far more about laser printers than I would like to.

Don't tell me that's all from memory...

Yeah, but when you hear the words "hard drive controller connector" one might assume that it's where you connect your harddrive.

The fact that he didn't know that the "hard drive connector controllers on the motherboard" connected the hard drive to the motherboard doesn't make the guy a n00b, it makes him an idiot. You don't have to know computers to use common sense and logic to figure that out.

Some people don't know what a hard drive is...I had some guy ask me what the hard drive was (in his roommates computer)..he also didn't know that the cables from the power supply were for power, and the others for data...everybody has to learn sometime.

some people think the computer itself is the hard drive. or they call it the modem.

I used to help people out locally with computer problems myself. I'd either go to their house or they'd bring their system to mine. Well, one day this lady needs her computer fixed and would rather just bring it to my house and leave it for a few days. I say sure thing and she brings just the monitor. And I'm like...uhh, did you forget your computer...and she says isn't this it? No? Oh, I thought the other part was the modem.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen, but I've seen lots of other moronic stuff. Sure, some computer related stuff needs a little studying to learn, but some things are so frickin' basic you'd think people would know.

After working 2 years in retail I've come to the conclusion that America is already in hell, we just don't know it.

ROTFLMFAO!!! That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard ... LOL! Even my grandma knows the difference between a monitor and computer.

Not my point. I know people are stupid about computers, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that a hard drive connector connects a hard drive. It seems a lot of people shut off their ears and brains when it comes to anything technical about computer hardware, though
