What's sad is that Purple is almost 20 years old. And the last time STP was actually relevant.

Oh yeah, his brother is in STP.

Huh? The DeLeo brother's are in STP. I don't think Weiland is related to any of them unless it's a very quiet fact that I'm not aware of.

Were they touring? I can't imagine them being 'together' for anything other than touring to 30 & 40 somethings who grew up when stp was making good albums.

My wife and I would go see them, and their demographic is probably 30 to 70 somethings. Probably too small a demographic to even ever consider touring again :D

I saw them a few years ago when they came to Columbus.
I thought they were amazing. They sounded so great. I was really surprised.

Actually, twice. Once at Rock on the Range, the second time at the Lifestyles Pavilion.

They were an awesome band & I'd expect them to put on a good tour. I'd probably see them if they came by. I'm 31.

Bands tend to dry up on the creative juices after a while. That's ok if your shows still rock.

Kind of reminds me of the Days of the New saga with Travis Meeks and his band.

"I'll take bands that have been irrelevant and overrated since they started for $200, Alex." :p

I saw them in concert in 1994 and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Dangerous concert though. Broken bones in the mosh pit.
