That special was completely false and utter crap to just prove to you how stupid their fanbase is Hehe, it also said in that special that when Maggie is scanned the register says "NRA4EVER" but actually someone has taken a screenshot (its floating around the net somewhere) and upon closer inspection, its just a jumble of letters.

I've actually taped the beginning and watched it in slow motion. the scan for maggie is actually a numeric price of like $800 something.
And the whole point with not telling you where they live is because it's supposed to be generic. some of you people are nerds for trying to figure it out

i don't know about any of the other springfields in the country, but the ones in kentucky and illinois both have a shelbyville very nearby. shelbyville is of course the hated neighbor town of springfield in the simpsons
