So its late at night and I'm waiting for a download to finish before I go to sleep. Only light in my room is from my LCD screen and my LED fan on the acrylic window of my case. Then all of the sudden, my computer gets LOUD and I'm like HOLY $HIT what's wrong? What the F&$( is wrong??? I check my system settings and I see that my system fan (the LED fan) has dropped about 1000RPM and the alarm is sounding, I'm screaming and I do an emergency shut down. Then seconds later, the sound stops and something sounds as if its being spit out.

I look inside my case, and an ENOURMOUS beetle-like bug apparently was attracted to the light on the LED fan, and he just dove right in. Now that sucker was being tossed around like an Asian Chicken Salad for a good 10 seconds, and I look at him on the bottom of my case and he's STILL ALIVE. This is one tough bug, you can see him limping around like an old man. So I hurry and open up my case before the damn thing gets itself stuck in a PCi port or otherwise destroyes my beautiful machine. It was a trying ordeal. ;)

Haha, this is how the term computer bug was named back in the day isn't it? A moth got stuck inside a vacuum tube of some ancient computing machine, and the rest is history.

Thats funny and it reminds me to order 3 fan filters for my intakes instead of 1 on the shopping cart...

I can imagine it now, the hesitant beetle waiting for the right moment, timing it's death defying leap through the fins of a 2500RPM fan, just so it can meet the lovely bright LED girlfriend, he jumps, TWANG!!!, not fast enough....lol

ROFL, poor guy. What happened to him? Did you finish him off or did you let him have his freedom?

Haha, yes, that is a good story. Definately gave me a chuckle. What type of bug was it? I hate bugs. And they probably hate me also....and no, I am not an exterminator.

Like the intro scene in Treasure Planet where the boy sails through the blades of that mining machine... :)

Only this time our hero didn't quite make it. :)

No, I finished the poor sucker off. He wouldn't have lived long in the condition he was in anyway. I have no clue what type of bug it was. It looked kind of like a lady bug, but it wasn't colorful it was more like a flying beetle.

Don't have any pics. Just use your damn imagination for once :)
