It's from them picking at their face. A lot of times they hallucinate that there's bugs crawling under their skin and they pick at their skin to get them

I'm not 100% sure it's the meth that does that. You have to remember how most of these addicts live. Alot of these people might have been homeless, malnourished, stressed out. That could have as much to do with it as anything. Have there been any tests done to conclude that this is caused by the meth?

i've known some methheads that look the same if not better after years of use. i think you will find that rich kids who do meth fare better than the ones who have to live on the streets with no money. point being, maybe homelessness has a bigger causal part in their physical deterioration than the drug. this is not to say that the mental deterioration has not taken root in the affluent users. mental degradation affects the rich and poor.
