Lol.. McDonalds has done away with Popcorn chicken and popcorn fish

its no longer on their menu. and probably hasnt been on there for a while tho i just noticed today while creating a thread about Papa Johns real chicken mcnuggets.

so add popcorn chicken and popcorn fish to the 1/3lb angus as recent failures.

i remember all those free popcorn chicken coupons. guess it didnt help.

hm.. now mcdonalds is giving out habenero ranch quarter pounder coupons for 25/50 coke points.

i'm guessing if history is any indicator, they give out coupons when the product is failing in last ditch hopes of saving it?

altho they might also claim the specialty quarter pounders are limited time and was expected to go away anyway to cover their ass

Cover their ass? It's a fast-food restaurant. Restaurants introduce new menu items and rotate their menus all the time.

The quarter pounders are new so the coupons are probably promotional, but I tried 2 of the new ones and didn't like them very much. In my opinion the quarter pounder should've stayed just how it is. I'd like to see the Big N' Tasty back on the menu though.

The QP did stay just how it is. At least around here they still sell the original QP alongside the new "specialty" burgers.

Coupons are to promote a product. McDonald's probably rotate some menu items yearly depending on the season too.
