I made it 2/3 before I gave up

I made it five or six sentences before I gave up. I have no idea what the article is about except I guess he's mad that someone squirted his son with a water gun at a minor league baseball game? I don't know.

I was several paragraphs in and could barely decipher what exactly it was that I was reading. Bad writing was bad.

Wait, so is he talking about Bruce Hornsby or what?

hehe. I was thinking that the whole time. "Really? Bruce Hornsby is the terror that you're raving about?"

...I think Hornsby is the team mascot.

I'm extremely not reading all that. Do I understand correctly, that an 8 year old boy got sprayed in the chest by a mascot with a water gun and started to cry, enraging his dad?

Eh I can't pass judgement on the writter really. Personaly I think at 8 years old the kid is plenty old enough and should have just laughed it off. No harm no foul I'd say if my son was 8.

Now I do have a son but he's only 2. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt if someone did that to him at a ball game and it made him cry daddy would be knocking the shit out of the mascot and taking the recieving beating I'd get from multiple people like a man. No one scares my little baby and walks scotch free.

OMG I missed that the youngest son is 8. I was picturing a 3 or 4 year old.
LOL

I was picturing the same thing. Aren't 8 year olds past the "wanting to meet the mascot" age?
I can't believe an 8 year old would cry about getting shot with a water gun on a hot summer day at a ballpark.

What a pansy.

If my 8 year old would have started crying about it I would have laughed at him and told him to stop acting like a wussy.

No, they're not past that age, but they should be at the mental age to understand a prank. If not, then the dad is not pranking his kid enough.

So he and his kid interrupted the guy while he was "deep in rap with some of his adult fans"? (Who the hell writes drivel like that?) How about he teach his kid that it's rude to interrupt adults when they're talking?
