Found this on Googlenews: Texas State Senators Break Quorum. Apparently, the legislative session in the Republican state senate cannot proceed without the missing Democrats, so the Republican agenda will be torpedoed! Don't know whether to laugh or cry . . .

Hot damn--They found the Dems holed up in Oklahoma. If it were me, I'd hide out in Mexico, specifically Cancun or similar.

Seriously, it sounds like the reason the Dems are doing this is because the Pubs did not act upon the census when the Dems had the majority in 2001. As a result, I think the courts redrew the districts. The Pubs did not like those districts, so they waited till this year, when they knew they had the majority, to re-district. Typical politics. Both parties suck.
