lol..just owned myself

Well,

I was applying for tutoring positions at various companies now that work is quite slow with my currenty employer, and everything was going well until I got a response. It turns out the company i currently work for has two different names or something, so my boss just got a nice cover letter etc with my resume, listing his own company....

I should get an interesting phonecall this afternoon:Q

i wonder if some companies purposely do that? create a fake company that sounds like it does 80% of what the real company does to see how many people from within will send resumes to it

if work is slow, then this isn't that bad of a situation. if you had just gotten a raise or something, then that would be bad

Well, it's not a fake company. It is more of a regional entity, and I work for a local branch, to whom which I applied directly.

Basically, he'll get wind of this "through corporate," so to speak😀

What a call it will be..."So, it says her you worked for us for a year, David, if I may call you David.."

The guy is cool so I expect it will be something we will all look back at and laugh😀

He'll do his donald trump impersonation: YOU'RE FIRED!

When I was passively searching for jobs while at my first company, my employer ran across my resume on Monster.com. My manager called me into his office and started questioning my loyalty to the company yadda yadda yadda (a number of people had already left the company at that point). Of course, the bastard was a huge hypocrite as he already had another job lined and left the company a couple of months later when he got his American citizenship (he was British and was working on a green card).
