I wish we could get deals like that over here....saying that I don't know if I could be bothered with MIRs so I guess I should be glad they haven't caught on to the idea yet.

Gee, I've put $4500 in my pocket this year on MIRs, and I spend a few hours in the process. Anytime I can get that kind of return on my time, I'm 100% for it!

I'm actually glad lots of people have that attitude about MIR deals, since the only reason they're so sweet is they count on a majority of people not bothering to follow up after the purchase. :)

How much was the actual amount for $4500 rebate

I'm glad you asked. Since I was pretty careful to buy free or really cheap items, my total cash outlay was $4930, and I have received $4510 in rebates. I still have $155 in rebates pending that I have every expectation of receiving, so my total outlay will be $265 plus about $40 in postage. Since I've used a bunch of the stuff in my consulting business, I'm actually way ahead of the game in dollars. However, even if I just bought them for personal use, I'd have a ton of stuff that I wouldn't otherwise have spent the money on, and I'd have around $300 total cash outlay. Seems like a no-brainer to me. :D
