LOL....I polished my old NT Server CD with carnauba car wax and it works!!!

That CD has too many scratches on it and I almost gave up.

Until, I thought..wait a minute!!...what if I use the Kit carnauba car wax and polish it. Well, I did and it works! :Q

Now, I was able to copy what on it to a new CD.

Let see if you can bring your old CDs back to alive with this method. :cool:

Sweet! I'd always wondered if that would work. Seriously, I thought about using Car Wax once. I've never tried it though. I'm very Anal with CDs so none of mine are scratched to that point. Glad someone tried it. :) Congrats!

Johnson's Lemon Pledge furniture polish works equally well on aircraft windshields and CD's. Apply with toilet tissue. If the tissue is pretty moist with the wax and you keep working it, the scratches fill in. This also works with motorcycle face shields.

You can use non-abraisive dishwashing soap, too. It'll get rid of your scratches. Don't overdo it though, you can go right through the protective layer. I had a CD that would skip because it was all scratched up. Works great now.
