I was walking and had overheard a converstaion that a couple of old (70+) old fogies were having. There was a accident a couple of days ago and the one guy had stated that he knew the lady that went through the red light and hit a van with disabled people. No one was killed but the accident did send a couple of people to the hospital. So anyway I went to the crowd and I asked if the lady should have been driving especially since she was over 70. This is what happened...

me: *overheard the conversation*

the old fogies: "mildred got into a accident, blah blah geritol, back hurts, liver spots, blah*

me: "hmm... she was over 70?! Was she able to drive?

the old fogies: "BAHHH are you saying that we are too old to drive?"

me: "ummm, no"

the old fogies: "You would probably take away our drivers license! 70 isn't old!!!!!" "Bahhh"

me: "umm..." and then I think to myself that these people are old farts and I walk away

The old fogies: "BAHHH"

You're lucky you didn't get your ass kicked and weren't left bleeding to death on the pavement.

When you get to be 70 and some young kid treats you like crap, you'll understand...

I never treated anyone like crap. The point that I was hinting at was that when you reach a certain age it should be mandatory for anyone over 65 years old to get retested so they can continue to drive. I'm sorry but as you age your vision, reflexes all slow down! Everyone should be retested and that includes me if I should ever reach 65+!

Also, young people can be careless so don't use the argument that 18 year old kids cause a ton of accidents because I know it's true.

*checks clock* Yes, it is 2005. I must be having flashbacks to a 2001 Jerboy thread, that's what it is. ;)

That's the problem with people being stupid. Instead of saying what's on their mind people post useless drivel and get owned.
