"Since Windows was first activated on this computer, the hardware on the computer has changed significatly. Due to these changes, Windows must be reactivated within 3 days."

Heheh thats pretty funny to me, I guess I will have to give MS another call.... I already have to call for a new code everytime I format.. now I just get to call for fun I guess..

tell them i said hi

Will do.

Anyone else want to put in a "just saying hi" statement? I can read em all off a list or something when I call, and waste the persons time on the other end as much as MS wastes mine

WinXP: the software most often cracked by people who legitimately own it.

I got a copy of Office2k that I've never used because of activation. It just made me look for alternatives, currently I'm checking out OpenOffice and comparing that to 602Office Suite (I liked 602 better than MS)

Ah, the joys of having a Volume License from my college for BOTH XP Pro and Office XP (unlimited installs).

It's kinda nice ;).

How much? And can't you just use the corp copy? I've been told it's legal is you own XP pro.

Corporate Key is not so great if you are installing Service Pack 1. I tried doing Service Pack 1 on my laptop and after it analyzed my computer it said that my product key was invalid and to call their Piracy line if I believed I was sold a pirated copy. I reverted my laptop from XP Professional back to the WinXP home copy that came with the laptop.
