LOL... Hawaii Governor Tried to Shut Up Birthers... Major Backfire...

Neil Abercrombie is an idiot. He made it his first piority as Governor to comb the archives for Obama's long-form hospital birth certificate. Oops...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ys-Obamas-birth-record-exists-produce-it.html

Abercrombie said on Tuesday that an investigation had unearthed papers proving Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.

He told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser: 'It actually exists in the archives, written down,' he said.
But it became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate.

And in the same interview Abercrombie suggested that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

He said efforts were still being made to track down definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii.

Abercrombie was asked: 'You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?'

He acknowledged the birth certificate issue would have 'political implications' for the next presidential election 'that we simply cannot have'.

I don't know how this guy got elected... Hanneman was far more qualified. I see lots of parallels between Abercrombie and the Murkowski governorship in Alaska. The dude is a moron. Should have just left well enough alone. Hahaha...

He should have known- don't feed the trolls...

Or... don't look for things that aren't there.

I've always stood by the notion that President Obama IS the President, so tough. Deal with it, eligible or not we've passed that point. However, now it brings into question his re-election campaign where the issue begins again.

"Major backfire" = major lie. So, he found evidence of the birth - and not every birth in the US has the same pristine documentation. I guess millions can't be president.

Is that surprising?

Bush was elected twice, and then you have Palin.

Don't under estimate the intelligent (or lack of) of the American mass.

Can Congress pass a law which simply deems the President a naturalized citizen and be done with it? If so, I recommend the Republicans push such an effort - to assert that we've more important things to do.

Naturalized citizens still cannot be President. That person must be born in the US.

I agree that this would be an interesting solution, but I very much doubt Republicans would ever do it. While you and I might think our country has more important things to focus on, the fact is that ridiculous issues ARE what politics has become. Think about how many issues in the run-up to the 2010 election were substantive issue based debates and how many were about smearing opponents and embracing ridiculous issues to energize a party base?

Even real issues like health care played out in a childish manner. Actual debate over health care issues, at least from the Republicans, mostly seemed to consist of saying "Socialist", "Marxist" and "Unconstitutional" as many times as fast as they could. Things like the "birther" debate and the "Ground Zero Mosque" might be dumber issues, but the arguments are all equally stupid. Nobody WANTS to get past those kind of issues or those kind of arguments, because honestly they work in an election.

What he didn't find was evidence of his birth in Hawaii. And we're not talking about pristine documentation. It's a standard form filled out for every live birth in a Hawaiian hospital. Obama doesn't have this. All he has is a COLB filed by his grandparents.

The Cert of Live Birth can be filed by anybody and says he was born at his grandparents house. He claims he was born in Kapiolani Hospital. The docs don't match the story.

Now for the record.... And I've said it before, I don't give a shit. I'm not a birther and as far as I'm concerned O is the prez.

I just think it's hillarious that this guy thought he was going to find something new in this debate and wound up reinforcing the birther's arguments.

Without an idea of how common this "lack of documentation" really is, this argument is just as moronic as any other birther argument.

In fact, that's an interesting idea. Take 100 randomly chosen citizens born in the US, about the same age as Obama, and try to "prove" they were born in the US using the same standards of proof that birthers are trying to use for Obama. Pretend we're "birthers" opposed to the idea that all 100 people were born in the US, see how convincing their proof really is. Do it for President Bush as well. Ignore the fact that his parents were born in the US, see if the documentation alone holds up to rabid examination.

It backfired, but what does it matter? 35% of Americans think Obama is a Kenyan Indonesian Nazi Communist Bush 2.0 Liberation Theology Muslim.

I voted for Abercrombie

It's not just his birth certificate. Wasn't BHO a professor? Did he publish anything? Have these documents been found? Was his history erased in some way?

As it is, the fact is and remains, NOTHING will satisfy a birther. But since SCOTUS has already ruled birthers don't have a leg to stand on, the best thing the rest of us can do is let them cry to their heart's futile content. Maybe they can enlist the help of professionals, a number of cute new born infants might help their public image as spoke children, and weeping John can help show them how a real grown up cries. Then they can hold crying conventions, which will stimulate the economy of the city that hosts them. We can also bolster American manufacturing by making thousand of pacifiers for them to suck on while birther critics like me and you may have to buy ear plugs.

Heh, I love the "declarative question" style of argument. I don't have any proof, or even specific allegations, so I'll "just ask questions" and thereby create the allegations I'm trying to make...without having to actually go out on the line with my own opinion.

But it's not just your goofy O'Reilly style "questions". Aren't you an Internet user? Did you ever download kiddie porn? Has anyone searched your computer? Are you part of some Internet child abuse ring?

Wow, hey, that kind of attack is sort of fun, no wonder you like doing that 😉

US Constitution Article II

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Do any of you even know what's in the US Constitution?

"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

So it would take a little bit more than a damn Congress passing a law to change the requirements for President. D:

He could always just invade the country he as allegedly born in and make it part of the US. "There, I was born in the US, now STFU."

He's president and there's a birth certificate. It's not particularly difficult to get.
The birth certificate that we are being shown was created long after he was born.

So far no one has been able to find the original birth certificate that was created on the day of his birth.
