Guy pulls up in his car and asks for $1 of gas. Regular at our station goes for $2.75 a gallon. I hope he didn't have to go far.

Shell. It's near a very rich resort area. Homes go for $1 mil(+) easily.

I remember getting $.50 worth of gas when it was $.45/gal. and I was 16.

Can't say I ever got a 1/4 gallon of gas.

Lol same thing happened to me today. Guy comes inside the gas station cuts in line and buys a dollars worth of gas. I remember as a kid we bought like 26 cents worth of gas for a joke though we were polite enought to not cut in line. :p

and you work in a gas station...

chances are you were high, he needed gas.

A gallon goes a long way in many cars.

I'd have paid at the pump though rather than waste my time going in.

In today's USA Economy, $1.00US does not buy a gallon of gas. It buys about 1/3rd gallon of gas. About what my truck uses when starting the engine. :(

Did I say $1 bought a GALLON? no it goes a long way though. If I am out of gas and only have a station selling it at $0.50-0.60 over what I normally pay, I am not going to buy much. It's not the cost in dollars and cents, but the percentages.

You obviously are overcompensating with not only your loud stereo in an apartment but a truck that is non-fuel efficient.

go YOU!
