The fact that when I go to a COM top level domain name and it asks me what "edition" I want tells me all I need to know about the organization.
If I wanted the freaken Mexico edition I would go to cnn.mx

Yes, because the US government has just been so tolerant of leaks these days. No way they'd want to force it off the front page as soon as possible, nope, that's just not how they roll. They're such nice, open, easy going guys and gals, those politicians. :p

We get the names, faces and biographies of mass murderers drilled into us for weeks, ditto deceased movie stars, but a massive breach of civil liberties doesn't last 48 hours? It's sickening.

YMMV, but I saw seven links related to the NSA story on the CNN home page just now. I don't know if they were all unique stories or not, but there are plenty of mentions.

What's going to change? Maybe CNN better represents the country. Destroy the Constitution? Bush did that, old news. Obama keeps it burning - who REALLY cares? A few irate Republicans who think he's a Muslim anyway.

Dems know he's still their man, and nothing can change that til 2017 after they choose in 2016. Even then, perhaps they know further that the next smuck in office will be just as hostile towards civil liberties, just as contempt for us, and bald face lying to our faces on national TV. "Just Meta data"

Maybe they know there's nothing to report. The American people have what they want, and only a revolution can stop it. They're not going to report that on the news.

It died in the media shortly after the Pew poll about the NSA issue came out. If there's one thing that the media and politicians both have in common it's being a whore to public opinion.
