I have the 759 X58 Classified that EVGA claims more gold is used in the socket. The hardware is OEM'd by LOTES.

My P6T7 socket is also a LOTES.

Is the power phase level over 9000?

When you see two different cars that both have Bridgestone tires, do you assume the tires are the same? I really don't get the joke Rubycon, do the sockets physically appear to be the same?

I think it was a marketing miss print - " 300% more gold in " are pockets" not sockets

-I just order one last night lol , can't wait to look at that gold .

Well if the tyres are from the same batch...

Yes it's marketing BS. No different than oxygen free speaker wire.
Of course the socket issue with 1165 is coming into the spotlight now as less pins means more current.

Perhaps the guy that had pins falling out of his socket didn't do anything wrong after all. :Q

Yeah it seems like EVGA did have a point where extreme overclocking is concerned. Still not bought by "more gold" story, though.

If you build something that's expensive people complain about the price. Tell 'em it's got 300% more gold in it and they'll buy it hands down.
