LOL @ Bestbuy

wow rofl. Thats a 100% markup.

The Best Buy one has 192 cores that provide the memory needed for visual realism. It's obviously the better card.

My good man are you suggesting that Bestbuy are ripping people off?

I mean just because you can buy a card online for 99$
and it costs 199$ in bestbuy.... the price differnce is obviously made up for by their excelent service! 🙂

lmao its abit extreme, the prices are that high for bestbuy products though...

RavenSEAL

I have to tell something you should already know!!

No one is gonna buy cpu, memory, mobo, video card etc. at Bestbuy ( future shop same thing)
unless you are so rich that you do not care to use twice money to buy one thing.

Lol, i knew a couple of people that worked there...you'd be very very surprised...

I think you should pay more attention to the features. If Best Buy says that the 192 cores on their GPU provide memory then who are you to contradict them? :colbert:

seriously, you'd better take a look at the model number which is VCGGTS4501XPB

the model number (VCGGTS4501XPB) is decided by manufacturer, not the store.

You don't think the same model will have the different features, do you?

they are exactly the same

LOL, calm down, he's being sarcastic...

While its super funny to point at best buy and laugh, you guys have to remember that for most Americans Best Buy IS their computer store. They have not heard of or do not feel comfortable with Newegg/Fry's/Microcenter.

If you know about Newegg, you already fall beyond the scope of BB's customer base. Obama should give the BB board and President medals of freedom for being awesome capitalists for exploiting ignorance everywhere they find it... and promptly making a buck.

Fixed it

Reminds me when i friend of mine got his first HD TV...i went to his house the other day...the picture on his tv looked weird...so i asked him where he got the HDMI cable..he said it was BB...turns out the moron had paid $50 for it...

4 weeks earlier...i technically got 4 HDMI cords for free(AR) from newegg...

Is this some kind of a news flash? Who in the world buys hardware at best buy?

Outsides of VERY few TV deals and possibly some appliances....not sure how anyone buys ANYTHING there to be honest.

They are always overpriced when it comes to almost ANYTHING.

People that buy TVs or PCs or PC hardware at supermarkets.... make me go 😵'.

Its soooo much smarter to check around the net for the best prices, read up on reviews and compair TV1 vs TV2 before buying. Everything Ive bought thats cost abit, Ive always looked into the features/reviews/checked around for prices/compaired to alternatives... and then bought what I considered the best deal.

I actually feel bad for people that dont... theyre likely to end up with a expensive, inferior product.

Actually most consumers will buy at those stores because they may know that other stores are selling them for cheaper, may not be comfortable with making purchases online, or simply not care enough to do research for a cheaper price. For example, the only reason we know how bad these prices are is because we follow them almost religiously.

What about appliance prices, clothing, food? I don't sit there following refrigerator or food prices daily. We all probably get ripped off on some of our purchases just like these poor guys and gals get ripped off buying electronics.

All these poor souls.

Who in the world buys hardware at best buy?

I picked up a Logitech MX518 for $19.99 at Futureshop and Far Cry 2, Bioshock and Assassin's Creed for $5 (each). So see, sometimes they do have good deals. 😎

I believe you've just sent the majority of the forum into apoplexy.

What now you don't think Zotac GT240 for $129.99 or Radeon 5830 for $368.97 are good deals? Make sure to add 13% tax on that.

You can have all kinds of fun with Futureshop/BestBuy prices 😉

Best Buy does have excellent TV prices.
But I think everyone knows that they rob you blind on HDMI cables and of course the dreaded printer cable.
They have to offer good tv prices, to feed sales of a product that our parents and grand parents used to get 15-20 years out of !

I bought my Antec case and Antec psu on sale for excellent prices at BB.
Summer of 2009 they had incredible prices on gtx 260' (139.99)s and gts 250's (109.99) it all changed around Christmas of that year.
