LOL, all that time waiting for WoW to install

I'm installing the 14-day trial from my Maxim Mag.

I doubt I'll every pay a monthly fee to play a game (any game), but 14 days for free will give me something to do for 14 days I guess.

after 35min. it's finally done, now it won't let me make an account, it seems to insist I have to pay for a month, where is this 14-day free trial option?? (and no phone support during playing hours )

go download the patches from filefront.com and save yourself a few hours.

edit: unless the copy you have is already patched up to 1.8.x

Yeah it's the longest game install I've ever seen. Patching takes a while too.

Yeah I just installed the free trial from Maxim too, and I thought the install was long. Just wait til you have to patch it, and restart the game after every patch. That's fun.

There isn't just a free trial, you need a special key to punch in. Generally it comes with the game, so people can give it to their friends and get them hooked too. Sometimes you can find it other places though, but without it you're SOL, gotta punch in a ccard.
