LOL 2.8million people downloaded regular kazaa lastweek

it's sad. ex-gfs. friends, i tell all of em about K++Lite, and yet they insist on ignorin and goin with that, rididculous!

how effective is kazaalite really in blocking the RIAA? How safe is the new version? I think a lot of people may be getting a false sense of confidence. The RIAA subpoena list included several kazaalite usernames. Of course, they could have been using old versions that didnt have RIAA-blocking features...

ok, bare with me people, i have been living under a rock for the last 2 years. what's with all this RIAA stuff? are they crackin down on kazaa users? should i no longer dl off of kazaa now?

The RIAA is tracking down people who share a lot of music and is suing some of them.

What is considered "a lot" by the RIAA....is 500 hours a lot?

Now that I don't know. Everything I know about the situation comes from ABC Radio News and they haven't given any limits or a "magic number", if it exists at all.

I haven't read much on this but are they going after people that are dl'ing stuff or who are sharing alot of stuff? or both?

Judging by the articles about some of the people the RIAA is suing, both. They're suing a 12yo girl for downloading... :|

I had to format my C: drive the other night. I had a relatively old version of Kazaa Lite on there (from like January). Haven't downloaded it yet. Is the new version safe?? I've heard different things. Still have good old WinMX in the meantime.
