Logon Failure: Permission Error

I am trying to get a home network going for a friend and can see both computers in the network on each computer. I also can access the files from the desktop to laptop. When I try to access the files from Laptop to desktop. I keep getting this error:

You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon Failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.


I have been trying to resolve this for 2 days and cannot.....Please Help!!!!!!!!
