I used X-Setup Pro to set the Window's logon/logoff screens to display what is going on during logon/logoff. (Useless, but fun....)
I have set the Logoff Sound to "None" in Control Panel/Sounds and Audio devices.
I have checked the registry entry:
HEY-CURRENT_USER/AppEvents/Schemes/Apps/Default/WindowsLogoff/Current
and no logoff sound is set.
"Playing Logon Sound" doesn't appear on the logon screen, but the Windows logoff screen still displays "Playing Logoff Sound" even though no logoff sound actually plays.
What to do................
