Ok, just give up people. We have a weiner! 😀

Nice work. 🙂

I think LordMaul has been ousted by a **Presence from his throne as the photochopper king.

I'd submit something but it takes me too long to make anything decent in photoshop.

**correction : ThePresence.

Nah. I'd rather not give my opinion on other logos, so I won't go into what I'm thinking...but IMHO, most of the logos here are way too complex. Not something I'd want to slap at the top of a page, or print out on something. It looks nice here, on your monitors, but other than that...

BTW, photochopping is entirely different from making logos. 😛

<< wow very impressive ThePresence. What program did you use to do those? >>

I use a few different programs. Among them CorelDraw10 and of course Photoshop, and a few smaller thingies.

Indeed logo making is a totally different thing from photochopping. Also, I wasn't aware that these logos were for print. Maybe I'll make some simpler ones if I get the time.

<< *correction*

Presence's last logo is the best one he did. 😀

Thanx, I agree. Its much more of a corporate look. Like i told Dedpuhl, It's very tough to do a logo without knowing something about the company. Since this is a fictional company, there is nothing to relate to.

Exactly what I was thinking before...but the name of the company brought out a "Sci Fi" kind of theme/image in my head, and this is what happened when I put it into digital format, so to speak. 🙂

Eh, I'll abstain from being critical of others' specific logos, but a lot of what's here just looks like Photoshop filters and fonts.
In my opinion, a good logo requires clean text, a good color scheme, and overall balance of the logo.
Anyway, best of luck to everyone. If nothing else, this contest has gotten us to be a little creative on a Sunday afternoon.

True. However, he is doing this as a school project, and is going to present this in both digital format and on paper, IIRC. In that case, hell need something that won't look overly simple digitally, but easily printable. Also, since this is school, he isn't going t be needing this for making heaps of cash or using it for an official business...which means he can also go a little more impressive than overly simple.

IMHO.
