I posted this on another forum yesterday, and I haven't been happy with what I've seen, and I saw someone post a similar thread here, so I decided ... what the heck! Hopefully someone out there can design something nice =)
Just started a company... tight budget right now, but looking for a logo.
Domain name is BitVenue.com
Company name is: BitVenue Networks, LLC
Name we'd like on the logo is: BitVenue or BitVenue Networks
We're fans of darker colors. We haven't designed our layout yet, we'll base our layout for bitvenue.com off the logo that is made.
We were thinking a dark maroon and a dark blue, or something like that - but any color scheme is fine, as long as the colors are darker.
Also, we were thinking of something like bit (so a bit of binary in the logo, since half of our company name deals with bits), and a venue of some sort - perhaps an image of a virtual building or structure of some sort fading.
Use your imagination! but we like simple, yet creative. Nothing majorly complex please! Looking for something web2.0 ish as a comment.

But of course, I don't want anything near that since it's something entirely different from what we're doing, but you sort of see the direction I'm looking for - but feel free to go nuts and design something completely different from the example above if you have ideas!
