Logo in MPEG videos all of a sudden?

I have to guess this is new, because I dont remember seeing it before... when I play back MPEG video theres this logo in the upper right hand corner of the screen...

I am nearly positive it wasnt there when I encoded from AVI to MPEG, anyone have any ideas? I am trying to put home movies into a "highlight reel" on DVD and now its gonna have this crappy logo in the corner...

You're using the demo version of the Elecard MPEG2 decoder. It's not part of the video; it's being added dynamically during playback. Register the player/decoder, or use a different one to avoid the effect. It will not be there when you burn to DVD, if that's all you care about.

i think it is gonna be there, because premier pro is using it to play the video (so when i export from premiere pro the logo will go with it)

any suggestions on other decoders, and how do i choose (on my computer) which one is being utlized?

That doesn't necessarily mean it will be there. Unless Premiere is re-encoding your videos from the output of the decoder for some reason.

One probably came with your DVD drive, DVD player software, and/or your video card. I mean, you got the Elecard one somehow; you must have downloaded it! You can either register that one, purchase one (NVIDIA's NVDVD is supposed to be good), or use one that you already have.

There should be a setting in Premiere itself to choose which one to use; it's done on an application level, not system-wide. I haven't used Premiere (just that decoder), so I have no clue where it would be, but look for video playback settings...
