ahemm.. only $50 for a logo?? it would cost you a few hundred bucks to pay someone to do it you know.

Now that I have looked around, I am well aware that a professional, paid-by-the-hour-logo-designer charges quite a chunk of money. It's not the problem of *making* the logo, it's the problem of thinking up the logo ... so yes, $50 is chumpchange, and I know that. If nobody submits, then we go to find someone to do it :confused:

phuz, that's a nifty logo -- it's up on the page ... as for 1 year of free hosting, if your site isn't a super-bandwidth-hog, it's a very good possibilty. We *ARE* an ISP :)

yea, I remember the whole happykitten incident - I can assure you that this is a company-backed effort [http://www.hpi.net], and they'll be no defaulting, cuz well, I'm waaay easy to find and kill [hell, I run and own rand0m.org, can't be too tough!] ;)

Seriously though -- the $50 will stand firm, if not grow -- all entries can be hitup at http://www.rand0m.org/logocontest.php . The contest runs until February 5th [board meeting day]; I'll be posting a couple threads here and there, so don't flame me when it happens. :)

you're right ... see ... I know that our logo sucks. I'm really glad to get all the submissions -- hopefully we can crank the prize amount up -- considering that there are 16 entrants already, it's a pretty good possibility.
