LogMeIn Free is about to have a mandatory 10 "Free" computer limit...upgrade to central for $199 for 1st year when calling in (regularly $299)

Q: Why are you making this change?
A: For nearly a decade, LogMeIn Free has provided unlimited free remote access to users on as many computers as they wish. In order to ensure that we can continue providing a free service and make meaningful improvements to our products, we will be limiting the number of Free computers in remote access accounts to 10. This change will not affect the vast majority of our users who can continue to use the service free of charge.

That's not entirely unreasonable, but they should have more tiers than two. It's a big jump from amateur to pro. There's some very small businesses/dedicated amateurs that $299(full price) would be too high.

good, my boss wont pay for pro, and we have probably 85 - 100 client PCs in the company account. maybe more. its a lot.

hes pretty detached about how we do some things (it consulting group) and was complaining today that i put logmein on a couple of servers for customers that had a vpn already. we eh...kinda have maybe 6 customers that DONT have logmein on them. seriously. its a short list.

this will at least force him to pay attention a little. im fine with it. the consulting company my gf works for switched from logmein to someone else, but i cant remember to who, or why :-/
