I think the DigiTheatre is regarded as the best multimedia speaker setup . . . personally, I have the Z-560s and went back to my CSW FPS2000s because I couldn't stand the overrated bass.

Heard a lot about the overpowering bass on the Logitech speakers... I hope that's more 'controllable' via the control pod this time.

You can also buy from mwave for $297.

I have them and they are very clear speakers, excellent for any purpose; whether you wanna hear music, play games, watch movies whatever. Though I would hear them first since I dont know whether you are person who prefers volume or clarity.

hmmm...how is this a hot deal?

I'm thinking the Z560's created quite a stir when they came out, so I would expect that these speakers will be a very popular item, and this price is quite a bit lower than the "expected" price of 399. Sorry if I didn't meet your stupid "what constitutes a hot deal?" formula.

I am the type of person that cannot stand too much bass at all. I purchased z560s because of the price and figured I could live with the bass, but honestlly, I use some software adjustments and the knob on my controller and the 560s are by far some of the best computer speakers i have heard.

thank goodness i am a retail employee :)... you can order these directly from logitech for 199.99 i believe once they come out... the only thing is that i am broke right now :( and have no money whatsoever... oh well i figured i would pass this info along to retail employees if they are interested..

The reason the z560's caused quite a stir was because of the price point. You could get them for $120 shipped. That is certainly not the case with these. Sure these will cause a stir with all the broke dreamers.

As a Digitheatre DTS owner, I say that the digitheatre DTS is really clean. A really good option on the DTS is that you can tweak the speakers individually. So if the bass is too loud, tone it down or up if you want to thump. My computer is in the right corner so I set the left speakers louder so it seems like I'm right in the middle of the room. Really nice feature. As for logitechs, I wouldn't want to pay $300 for the speakers. Most of the Logitechs try to hide sound quality by covering it with the really load bass. Just my pennies.

Called Buypcdirect Friday and they had 6 more DTS in stock. Deciding to put the speaker in Family room. Can't decide.... :confused:

I once cranked my Z-560's up to the max when it was the end of the year and we were leaving...or something...just to show my friends

But apparently there was someone in some room across the hall that was still around and uhhh...well...

Since my own ears were hurtin, and the bass was making my door rattle like crazy, I don't think my neighbor appreciated it when she busted out and started screaming at me.

lol...I thought she had left but I guess not. :p

But these are even louder *drool*....I guess the reason they didn't boost wattage even more is because of that silly pain threshold thing. So what if your head actually starts to hurt? We clearly need MORE POWER! MUHAHAHAHAHA

Maybe I should get 2 sets and link them in an insane 10.2 setup so I can pump 900 Watts and more decilbels of insanity...too bad the decibel curve isn't straight...I believe 2 sets should max out at 124 or so decibels if one maxes at about 118...

And that is above the pain threshold MUHAHAHAHAHA....bring the speakers outside and do a sonic assault on your neighborhood =P

Don't know. Don't care. That's what I paid for mine when they first came out and they were junk so within a week I sold them on ebay.

FYI. www.mwave.com has the speakers also. They list the price at $295.11 but they are not in stock yet. I don't think they will be available till next week. But thats even a hotter deal
