why did you just repeat your OP?

😕

I've got the Z-5300's, and they are kick ass speakers for the price. Not sure about how they compare to the Z-680's though...

5300 - mid-range speakers
z680 - higher-end speakers

Z680> 5300. They'll probably be 2x as loud. Also Z680s got replaced by Z5500 and those compare to Klipsch 5.1.

right now Z680 = $275 , 5300 = $145, Z5500 = $279

Which means you should be comparing Z5500 to 5300s not Z680s to 5300s.

z5500 review

"At 9:00am I was woken up with a rather loud knocking at my suite's front door. Opening the door revealed the building's property manager handing me a noise violation complaint that was filed and the manager's office by my next door neighbor. This would sound perfectly right seeing I was easily hitting 130+dB when testing the system at higher volume levels but there is one interesting thing I have to inform you about my neighbor...........

She is completely deaf........No joke, she can't hear a thing. Nadda...Zilch....

What I guess caused her to file the complaint is that I cleared 13 pictures off of the adjacent wall where our two suites attach. And yes, that wall was the same wall where the subwoofer was placed. From what I was told, I vibrated that wall so badly that almost all of her paintings, photos, trinkets or whatever vibrated and fell down.

So what's the moral of the story? This system is so loud it will piss even deaf people off......."

If you do get these, get audigy 2 zs with them.

if you can get a good deal on the 680s since they were just replaced go for them.

if you don't need all the extra sound the 5300s are ok, but you might regret it in a few months.

you're best bet is just to use google and read a few reviews of the various speakers.

Jebus! Just bump one of your old threads and ask the question in there. Then everyone can see what you've been told already and doesn't have to repeat the same stuff (including you).

Threads about your sound system you should have bumped:

This is your 7th thread on the same topic. You don't need to start a new one every time you want to compare a new option.

Oh, and give us some prices on these. We can't tell you what's a better deal if we don't know how much they cost in India.
