Are these speakers ok with an Audigy2 ZS? I have a 20 dollar coupon from Amazon.com, and right now, they are $36, minus the 20 coupon I have, which will be 15 dollars with free shipping. I know there are better out there, but are these ok? I dont want to spend much on speakers, and have to use this coupon soon. Thanx.

they get lots of good reviews but are really pretty cheap speakers ... i wouldn't recomment them if you're going to use them to listen to music.

They will just be for gaming and maybe a movie. Could computer speakers such as these also be hooked up to a dvd player for the tv? It says it has a connector for Playstation, PS2, Xbox etc. For 15 bucks, should I go ahead with it? Haha at that price, even if I never use them, you cant beat it

I own the Z-340's, and they came w/ the adapter you'd need for what you are talking about. I believe the entire Z line comes w/ one, so you are good on that point. Note that the max volume on the Z-340's was not really enough for some DVD's, and they started to crackle. I believe the Z-640's should have a higher max volume, so that probably won't get in your way.

I'd go for it!

Ok thanks Yelo. Its done! Total was 15.50 with free shipping :) I will most likely get them before I even get my computer that I am ordering, so hopefully can test them out on the dvd player or the playstation. Only thing thats holding me back from ordering the pc is wondering what cd-dvd rom, rewriter to buy.

I have them they are good. But if I has a ZS I would go with something that is acutally going to sound better with a good card.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I may wait for a sale on them in the future, or when they drop in price then get a good set of 6.1's or something. Hehe I can always order my new rig without the zs soundcard :)

I have a set of z640's on my other computer. For the price, they're incredibly difficult to beat. That's why they get great reviews. You still get what you pay for though. The bass is muddy, the midrange isn't that great, they distort at about 50% volume, and 50% volume isn't nearly as loud as a high end sound system.

Everyone who's heard mine has been at least somewhat impressed. The z680's would completely blow them away though, especially in terms of sound quality.

Yeah, its hard to believe the reviews are so good on these for the price they are. I just couldnt pass up that deal on amazon, especialy with the coupon. I had to use it by 12 midnight tonight lol. Nothing like the last minute! :)

I sure wish I could have afforded the 680s instead. Even with this system im ordering, the 15 dollar ones I got are still pushing it :)

For the price they're great as others have already said. I got mine for ~$50 and I don't regret it a bit.
