Logitech Z640 + Audigy 2 Problems

Hello all AnandTech forum goers!,
I have a bit of a problem. I recently bought some Logitech Z640 speakers and an Audigy 2 soundcard from Newegg.com. I am trying to set up surround sound in my room for my computer, but when I watch movies (i.e. Saving Private Ryan), The voices come out of all four speakers plus the voices echo. In my speaker manual it says that voices are supposed to come from the center channel, not the left and the right, but they don't. Also, the center channel doesn't work with the test software that was sent with my Audigy 2. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You didn't say how you set the speakers and sc up. You most likely have the wrong software setup for the way you connected the speakers to the sc.

I use my z-640's with onboard sound and they work fine. When you were talking about the talking on speakers besides the center, did this only happen on the movie Saving Private Ryan? Did you check all your connections and make sure the front speakers aren't in the center plug? And the echoing effect, have you checked your settings? Is there a DSP setting for like hallway or someplace that might produce wierd effects? Dunno, hope this helps

No, it does not only do it on the movie Saving Private Ryan, and I am sure that the speakers are plugged in right. I don't see how I would have the wrong software, I used the Audigy 2 software CD that came with the card. Otherwise, I just set them up like you are supposed to, the front left and right, back left and right, and center and bass/subwoofer.
