Logitech Z623 Worth?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy logitech z623 speakers.Heard a lot of good reviews about.
I have a Realtek AL 892C onboard sound.Just wanted to know whether the
Logitech Z623 itself produces good sound quality with on-board audio or should i need to buy a sound card to get the maximum effect out of it?

Is it really worth in buying these speakers?

outboard sucks when you use analog input. There will be people claiming that onboard is just as fine, or as good as discrete card. That might be true for optical input, but for analog it is not. Onboard simply lacks good electronics for the conversion.

Also, I doubt it is worth to buy a discrete card, if you think that these speakers are expensive. Give it try with onboard, and see if you like the result.

When you are talking about speakers and sound cards, the connection you are using on the sound card is output :whiste:

and for most speakers, the on-board sound card is fine.
