If i were to get these "amazing speakers" could it work with a normal tv plugged into a dvd player?
Right now all i am looking for is some thumping sound for when i rent movies.. then put the speakers back to the pc

Lets say i bought a dobly digital reciver, could i then hook the speakers up and get surround sound?

O yea, what is the best sound card for these speakers under 50 dollars... cheaper the better :)

Yep.. Why not? As long as it has a mini jack, you can use the Z560's with just about anything.

I've been thinking about doing something like this too,but I have know knowledge in this area. I have some Klipsch 4.1 Speakers...would there be any way to actually hook these up to a tv to use with an xbox?Or share the speakers with the xbox and computer? Or do I need the Logitech's conectors on their speakers. I'm really looking for a sub 200 dollar system that I could use on my xbox and make some use of its sound instead of just coming through the TV Speakers.

What inputs and outputs are available on your TV? I'm assuming that you have a basic RCA inputs and an RF-in.

Connecting just a VCR directly to the z560. Make the following connections:
- cable from wall (cable tv)/antenna --> RF-in on VCR --> RF-out on VCR to RF-in on TV
- audio/visual out on VCR -- > Y-cable (1/8" --> RCA (red-white) plugs) from Radio Shack --> front (green) input on z560 control pod --> z560 control pod connects to z560 subwoofer via a DIN cable

Adding a DVD player to the mix:
You might want to buy an AV switch from Radio Shack to handle the audio portion. Connect the output to the front (green) inputs on the z560 control pod. The z560 control pod connects to the z560 subwoofer via the DIN cable. Connect an RCA video (yellow) cable from the DVD to the corresponding RCA video (yellow) input on the TV. Connecting the VCR is the same as above -- only you won't need a Y-cable. Instead, connect the RCA audio (red-white) to the 2nd input on the AV-switch.

A 3-input AV-switch should cost $16 from Radio Shack.

You might still need a Y-cable and 1/8" extension cord if you want to connect your computer to the AV switch (via the 3rd input).

You might want to get an 1/8" splitter connect to the front (green) and rear (black) inputs on the z560 control pod in order to get equal volume sound out of all 4 speakers. I believe if you just connect the front (green) inputs, in order to get sound out of all 4 speakers, you'll have to use M3D. Of course, the front speakers are going to sound louder than the rear speakers in order to simulate surround sound.
